Dance in the dark
Some girls are dying to dance up front.

Drunk, was I?

December 25. The day when our Saviour was born. This also marks the day of my cousin's birthday named Krissa. This day is a very precious one; thus, it calls for celebration, and what better way to celebrate but by gathering with family members -- eating, chit-chatting, and . . . drinking!

Yes, you read it right! Drinking is one of the most common ways one could celebrate. From the simple water, to juice, then softdrinks, up to beers or wines, one can certainly have one heck of a time enjoying and drinking until the very last drops from the glass or bottle. And this was one way we, cousins from my mother side, celebrated.

But, of course, we didn't procede to drinking immediately, for it would be so foul and pathetic, if you ask me. When we arrived, certainly eating would commence -- and it did. Then we just chit-chatted until we got a bit bored. So, we decided to take pictures wherever we may set our feet on. My cousin, Ate Kyra, who studies in La Salle, was being such an artist -- like an actress, dressed up in such a kikay-ish look, so sosy-looking! No doubt that that's the environment there. Anyway, that cousin of mine was taking a lot of pictures of herself. haha. All because of that look of hers. Oh, and before we went through that pictorial, she first ironed her hair!! (so kikay, indeed!)

Anyway, when we finally got bored, we, cousins, went to Ate Krissa's house and spent "quality time" there. We drank wine -- pasosyal effect -- instead of beer! Of course, only the high school students were qualified to do such, but one of my cousins, Jaja, insisted in joining us, so we let her. It was her decision, anyway, so she's got no one to blame.

We drank from just one glass. We were passing it around -- one shot at a time! ohh, you could feel the warmth of the wine -- or should i say, "the spirit of the wine," as my cousin called it -- carress my digestive track. It felt warm, and good. But the taste, hmmm, i dunno! The first round was Ok, but the second one was so unpleasing to my mouth. So, we decided to add some other ingredients and create a mixture. My brother, who studies in Ateneo, knew how to make this one mixture called Boracay Mix, so they bought the ingredients and he mixed one pitcher of it. It tasted good, much like milk! hehe. We had two shots of it. Anyway, When the pitcher was emptied, my cousin, who said it was the spirit of the wine and who studied Hotel and Restaurant Management, knew how to make another mixture, called Long Island, got the ingredients and made another whole pitcher of the mixture. It tasted good, too, for it consisted of coke, calamansi, and gin (i think). ahh, another two shots went through my throat. Great!

Much enjoyment it was, i could say. We chit-chatted a lot. We bonded. We enjoyed! But the thing was that, when some of us stood up . . . dizziness engulfed our heads! But not that much, for me. I was still stable, in fact, and got to the other house without accompaniment! hahaha.

When we arrived in that house, my Ninong Tassy asked, "Uminom ka?!" and i answered, "Oo, pero diri ak hubog! Hira kuya la iton nga nayakan!" Then, to my shock, he gave me P200!! oh yah, it paid off!!

Oh, by the way, I really wasn't drunk! Swear! hehehe. Probably just drank a lot. Begginer's effects! hahahah. :D
