Reconnecting with myself
Saturday, June 12, 2010, 10:38 AM
When I was in high school, I started blogging because it somehow became an “in” thing. I would go on writing about something odd happening during the day, or about a day that I would want to remember. It could be a simple day in school and with people who played a special part in my life. It could be an event. Or it could be something that suddenly struck me. Then, minutes after, I’d be enjoying comments from my friends; my blog would gradually become an internet chat box.

So WHY BLOG, anyway? I realized that one thing that kept me blogging was the comments that kept on coming. It was fun. But realizations can come after realizations and I realized that blogging was a form of connecting with yourself and with that, maybe the community as well. People blog for several reasons. But whatever the reason is, it is something that links you and your inner self. If you blog about food, it can either mean you like food or you like making other people know about certain foods.

But one reason why I’m blogging again is simply because I miss it—obviously missing being part of the publications. I also realized during the COA Special Projects PlanSem that it’s true, we have to have a written account of what we do, think, and realize because we grow old, times change, and we also forget. Yes, pictures speak a thousand words but blogs, I think, are those words and can even be stronger. Besides, how are you supposed to capture a picture of what’s going on in your head? (HAHA)

After a year’s worth of unintentional blogging hiatus, I realized all these. I realized, I could’ve written so much about the very memorable year 2009 (Ondoy, relief operations, a lot of first time stuff, etc). So now with this new blog, I’ll try to reconnect with myself as often as I can. I’ll try to scratch the time I spend on procrastination and just do it—just blog.

My old blogs which were just cross-posts of each other:

EDIT:

But After several days of staying there, I realized that it's not the place for my personal thoughts. Tumblr seems to be solely for fun; or so it just seems. So here I am, resurrecting my blogspot. But now, no longer http://dunno-dont-care.blogspot.com/ but rather http://weanneauueam.blogspot.com/
