good LUCK is so not equal to God bless

"good luck!" is the usual phrase one would give and get during exams, or during competitions, rendering of speeches or whatever similar event. i know, i know, we "need" luck to do well in whatever we're doing. but is it really luck that we need?

we practice speeches for hours until we "run out of saliva" (in other words, feel thirsty), we study overnight for exams until we drop (and not to mention have two heavy eye bags!), and we practice for competition night and day until we end up sick of "over" fatigue!! and yet we still seek luck?

no. we ought to seek guidance from the almighty. we've made tons of effort on those stuff that we need to do, which, in the first place by the way, was given to us by God! he blessed us with that, and we made our effort for it. then we ask for LUCK?! we need God's guidance, to help up make good in the exams, to ward us off of nervousness when we deliver our speeches, and to keep us focused in competitions.

but, on the other hand, they say we need luck in the sense that what we studied for is what's going to appear in the exam. but i'd still consider this as a blessing.

anyway, "good luck" and "God bless" just really don't mix. i somehow find it pathetic that we use them in the same sentence (i myself do so, and in fact, i just did! haha, joke joke joke). but really, luck is pure serendipity. God's blessing is different. it is divine, and he planned it for us. so we should seek his guidance and blessings in everything we do.

hmm.. the upcat will commence in just a mere nine hours. for those who are taking the exam (that includes me!) GOD BLESS!! drown yourselves in prayer, but don't forget to do your part!! just do your best, as they say it, and God will do the rest!!

and for those who believe in luck.. well, here goes.. GOOD LUCK! (:
