during the national secondary schools press conference, our school paper won 1st place in Best in Sports Page and 2nd in Best in Layout Design. we were, of course thrilled and thankful! but i was, at the same time wondering why my friends who were in the nsspc said that we won two 1st places and a 2nd place. they weren't able to take note of them so i didn't bother anymore. besides, i might sound pretty conceited if i do so. hehe. :)

now, a month (or two?) has passed since that day. i actually forgot about it already. but then our adviser suddenly texted me today to check deped's website and see the nsspc memorandum. here are some pictures.. (click the link if you want to verify. just be patient as the page loads).



yeah. we won first place in best in sports page. and we know. :) we even had pictures taken with them. :)



and yes, we also won in best in layout design. and we placed 2nd there. :)




but alas. just as what our adviser said in her text. we won 1st place in the top 7 school papers in our category! my friends were right! we did bag two 1st places. the trophy is with our regional coordinator whose office didn't even bother to inform us!! hogging all the glory?!? balitz..

at least we know it's not his!! but anyway, the damage has been done. i just don't know if we'd be able to retrieve the trophy. tsk tsk. well, congratulations to us i guess, though it's pretty much late. nonetheless, it's better late than never. great job scinet staffers! and keep up the legacy future scinet staffers. :)
