it's a miracle!! congrats to all of us! and praise the Lord!!

the 2007-2008 regional intel philippine science fair just concluded earlier. before, it was handled by dost, but now DepEd handles it for certain reasons concerning the winners.. well, they won. we won. great. congrats everyone!! specifically to totan, bley, lorenz, rap-rap, dexter, irwin, jim, and sir carl and mam janeth.. you all did great!! :) and to those who weren't able to make it to the top 3, it doesn't mean you weren't great. some were just better in presenting (perhaps) or defending.. "just do better next time," as said by Dr. Antonio Lim.. anyway, we all enjoyed the intel sci fair. if only we stayed-in, it would've been way better. we really bonded with each other that time, and made new friend(s) like albeth's cousin, joan, from asian development foundation.

oh well. today was hell great. after the awarding, we went straight to school to leave those not-so-heavy but somewhat-bulky panel boards. after there, we went to downtown for lunch. we thought of going to greenwich first, but then it was full. we went to cindy's. it was full. we went to farenheit. and yes, it was full. then we decided... SHAKEYS.

sosyalan?? haha. not quite. well, if not for the prize money, then yes, it would seem that we were rich people.. but apparently, it was just the prize money. sir carl treated us all there (me, irwin, jim, rap, lo, dex, ena, bley, hya, marj, gelai, totan. kay and aiah weren't around). we all got soooooo full!! what with the yummy lunch and the bottomless iced tea??? wooh.. it was great (thanks sir!!)..

then some second year girls and a third year guy came in.. (j, s, k, g).. hmm.. let's not talk about them..

after eating in shakeys, we went around downtown. entering every store that we passed by -abubutz, children's place, bobson, etc.. until we reached gaisano where we did more roaming and playing around (not to mention making a lot of noise).. we were making fun of the toys there and the cards they had there which were all soo CORNY!! oh well.. :)

at around 4 pm we decided to leave for Sto. Niño church, of course to thank God for everything.. while walking down the stairs, we did something.. say, mischievous! we all pretended to look at some part in gaisano (like the lights) as if we were curious what was there. then when we looked around, we'd laugh 'coz all the other people were looking at the very same spot we looked at. hahaha! mga uwat!!! well, kidding aside, we proved that people are apparently curious people. (in other words, mahilig maki-usyoso). :D i know, i know, you'd say that that was plain WRONG since we were in uniform, bringing the name of our school and making fun of people.. well, i'm not arguing with you.. :) we had loads of fun!

anyway, one more thing and probably the last thing we all laughed about was the weird looks and stares we'd get from people!! hahaha. it was soo funny, really, with those stares as if they were saying "what are you doing here in your uniforms? are you lost in time? it's sunday for heaven's sake!! are you out of clothes??".. and according to ena, when she was asked why we were in uniforms, she said, "wala lang (oh nothing)." what an answer! people then would confirm that out-of-clothes theory.. hahaha!!

really, it's funny.. and seems abnormal to the eyes of the people.. and weird at the same time.. wearing that piece of uniform for seven straight days?? (well maybe six)! haha. :D

weh. another blog request, this time, it's irwin's. but i was plannin' to blog this event, though. hehe. so here's what happened.

AUGUST 6 - no classes! yey. local holiday! but i was neither in palo for the fiesta. i was, however, in downtown to conduct our investigative report, which didn't turn our right. yeah, not right at all.

i met up with irwin, my partner for this task, at mcdo at around 1 pm. funny, it seemed, 'coz irwin was in a bangaw look because his grandma said it's the appropriate look if we'd be going to the tacloban wet market. it was logical though, 'coz if we were to interview people at that place in a very formal attire, we'd look crazy, i presume. hehe.

so that was it, we met up there. then we were supposed to go to our hotspots -- family park, up botanical garden, and (my most dreaded spot) the tacloban wet market. but i told him that we needed background information about this clean and green campaign so we went to jose karlos first. hah! money subtracted from my wallet again. besides paying for the internet, we bought chokolato chill and cookies there. that was a 100+ charge!

FIRST STOP. family park. the place was quiet, and we were SHY -- SHY I TELL YOU!! AS IN IRWIN AND I WERE SHY!!! -- to interview people so we decided to take pictures. couples were EVERYWHERE and we kinda looked, uhhmm..should i say, weird? weird 'coz we were like lost kids, who didn't know what to do, where to go, and were noisy. after takin' some pix, i told irwin that nature's calling. he, too, was also feelin' the same. haha! (that was the chokolato chill's fault!!!) but we didn't want to, you know, pee at lion's den 'coz we weren't buying anything. tsk. and we still had a job to accomplish. since there were a lot of couples there, we were havin' a hard time to spot a decent-looking single person. and, alas, we did! but we still were nervous (kids nga naman eh!) so we sorta scripted ourselves first and gathered some courage. then when we were going to approach him already, we were STUNNED. haha. THE GIRLFRIEND HAS JUST ARRIVED.

NEXT STOP. ok, we freaked out. haha. that discomfort we were feeling was just getting worse. no interview for family park. hmp. up botanical was the next place of intrusion. (joke lah). uhh, yah, we went there, and did the same thing. yes, we were able to find another decent-looking person, but this time it's a she. wahaha. courage gathered, script done..approaching... WHAT?!.. THE BOYFRIEND HAS JUST ARRIVed!! STRIKE TWO!! the discomfort getting even worse!

we were deciding to go to DOT because it's just at leyte park, but our ego's were telling us to FIND A COMFORT ROOM AND DO YOUR OWN THINGS!! haha. yes, we passed by tons of government offices we could've gotten info for our report (well, not all though) -- department of agriculture, red cross, pag-asa, denr, etc! we were just walking and walking. we we're really like li'l children who didn't know where to go to! then our eyes met that green rectangular sign... aha,

THIRD STOP. FARENHEIT! we couldn't help it. we went there immediately. on the way, i threw some thorns at irwin! haha, i was LOL, he looked stupid! (peace!!). then, when we crossed the road between smart and gabrino, we saw this tall girl(?) that looked like a boy(?).. we were debating if he/she was a she or a he. wahaha. and..FINALLY, we arrived at farenheit. to make it less embarassing, we bought snacks. but it was still embarrasing though. we were seated directly in front of an aircon, and we were FREEZING!!! we were deciding whether to push through with the report or not. tsk.

LAST STOP. i texted my friend, gline, if we could interview her. she said yes. i asked if she could see us, but she said no. BUT, if we wanted to, we could go to their school.. and, i wanted to see her (of course!), so i said yes! so we went there - to LNHS. and i tell you, NAKAKAHIYA!. sooo, t'was embarrasing!! i saw tons of my ex-classmates and schoolmates there! we were all exchanging "hi's" and "hello's", "muzta's" and "how are you's".. they were teasing me to jailo and kervin, i didn't really mind. it was THEIR school anyway. hehe. but i tell you once more, NAKAKAHIYA TALAGA!! but at least we were able to do what we went there for! we were able to interview a lot of people, though some were shy. and for my personal agenda, i was able to see my ex-classmates!! the friends i was with during my elementary years. my ka-gaga, ka-loka, ka-bond, ka-high, etc!! (i miss you sooooooooooooo much guys!!! see you again very soon!!)

and that was it. now, to deal with this journ project of ours, well, we'll be doing a lot of phoning.

and that was how we celebrated the palo fiesta! now, they're gettin' drunk, but as for irwin and me, we're doing this journ project. haha. we cruised through downtown like street children!!

hahaha. i just came from mcdo, didn't go to church with my parents, and wasn't able to buy shoes. great. just great.

i dunno what to write exactly. well, i already had a plan on what to blog about last week but jim, however, came into the picture and told me to blog 'bout our mcdo...hmm, should i say 'adventure'?... earlier.

so here goes. diane, irwin, aj, mara, and i went to alexis while jim, marxal, lorenz,emman and rafael went to jollibee. both our group and their's were planning to go to mcdo. but to our fate, there was a kid's party being celebrated NOT at the party area, so the place was actually packed at the lobbies.(by the way, we saw meldz, jj, von, and rio there).. sooo, change of plans. alexis and jollibee..

hmm..the nerve of them! before we butted in alexis, they said they were at jollibee (so we passed by there), but when we got there, THEY DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN `BOUT US!! they saw us, but it wasn't vice versa. so we just went to alexis instead.

text.text.text. na-bitin kami sa alexis!! we wanted to eat ice cream. so we decided to go back to mcdo (juz in case the party's over). we told the other group that if they wanted to come with us to mcdo, they may. mara went ahead because they had their research at their place.

apparently, when we arrived at mcdo, it was still full but not as quite as before. we decided to order (bubblegum float for me!!) and we found a table.. well, two tables to be exact. count the number of people that could sit there?. around 6 or 4? and how many were we again? 9!

dang. the churvah starts here. we sat down the table, happily drinking our floats, when suddenly a group of people got up and went out. three tables were now free. THEY went there. WE were left behind. NO MORE SPACE. actually, irwin just squeezed in so that WE would juz be left behind.. haha. pathetic yet funny. (:

and that was it! too much of an adventure for you? for me? i dunno. but it was funny. especially when irwin's so-called-"mini-me" (ORIHCI) went there. (:

sooo.. jim, ada na.. do you actually think that this won't happen without your "help"? and you actually thought that i wanted it to happen? haha. but anyway, t'was ok. no harm done i guess.. haay.. with the immortal words of diane, "THIS WILL BE OUR LAST JULY 21 TOGETHER AS HS STUDENTS.. sad.
